My name is Slawka Grabowska. I organize Donostia Book Club. We meet every month to discuss previously chosen books or short stories. Check out our FB page! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Donostia-Book-Club/105225566276875?ref=hl
Looks like in times of crisis it's easier to use something written a long time ago than look for new stories: Les Miserables, Anna Karenina, Great Expectations, The Great Gatsby. The Road.... Have you seen any? What are your thoughts? Does any of this film reach the level of the book?
I've seen Anna Karenina and The Great Gatsby and, although I find Gatsby better than Anna Karenina (the film not the book!), I have to say that both have dissapointed me.
Why don't you share your opinions?
